Safe with a Stranger

Hello all! Well, it seems summer is upon us, and what better time to turn up the heat, right? Here in Florida, I think that the temperature has climbed to a steady 90-91 degrees everyday now. The water at the beach is like bath water!

In terms of keeping it hot and steamy, our featured author this week, Linda Conrad, brings us a story involving a very strong Texan Ranger. Josh Ryan is an ex-soldier with a mission: to help Clare, a single mom on the run with her son, from two dangerous men. As Clare's son begins to look to Josh like he is an important figure in his life, Josh gets too close and makes Clare more of a target making him have to do something so difficult and let her go, when love and passion are taking over his manly, ex-soldier nature...

It is a story involving a woman and baby on the run, some awesome sex scenes, and even a little witchcraft? Wow! And Linda claims that Josh Ryan is one of the best heroes she as ever written. If you think Safe with a Stranger sounds interesting, you should check out this book trailer for it! You know you'll want to catch this first in the series!

Linda writes for Harlequin-Silhouette books, and has had many of her novels translated into over 16 languages and sold in over 22 countries. How impressive! A writer of short contemporary romance, Linda's sensual characters and passionate stories from the heart have earned her a plethora of awards, including the 2008 Write Touch Readers award. Another interesting tidbit is that she is a Florida native. Just like me! If you want to read more about Linda, check out her BYS bio here.

Keep posting those comments, and asking questions, because Linda will be on here to do so..making it fun and interesting for everyone! And you can be the lucky one to receive a signed copy of Safe with a Stanger!

So, my question this week is going to be pretty simple. How do you all feel about men from Texas? :)

I'll see you all later..enjoy the heat..Between Your Sheets!

Hi Linda,
I've seen the recipes on your site. Are you an avid cook?

Hi Linda & Marla,

I have never met a real man from Texas. I would love to know if they are true gentlemen. Love the way they wear their boots and hats. :)

Thanks for the great blog, Marla!
Nicely done as usual!

Hey Jane!
I LOVE to cook, but I seldom have enough time anymore. Fortunately I have a husband that worked in restaurants for much of his early life and he doesn't mind pitching in. I've spent a lifetime of collecting recipes and everyone sends me their special ones. Do you like to cook? I'm always up for a new dish.
Hugs,
Linda

Hi Dina!

My husband and I lived in Texas for over fifteen years and we loved it there! Yes, the Texas men are gentleman--but also very human. LOL!
And once they commit, they love their families. Hmm. Great heroes!

Hey all!

Anyone interested in knowing that SAFE WITH A STRANGER has a witchcraft theme running through it? LOL It does!

Wanna talk Mexican witches?

I have an aunt that lives in Texas, in a little town called Kerrville. I've visited her several times and yes the men there are very sexy especially when wearing cowboy hats and boots. I also love to visit the Riverwalk when there along with the Alamo.

I love Kerrville, tetewa. It's in an area called the Texas Hill Country. The land south of San Antonio tends to be very flat, but in the Hill Country near San Antonio it's rolling and green and beautiful..Kerrville has a wonderful artists community too. Very nice.
Lucky you for getting to visit often. And as with most of Texas, the guys are great!

I've never met a real Texas man either. But if they are anything like the ones you read about then bring them on. LOL
Linda, do you visit places to get ideas for your books?

Linda Conrad said...

Sure, Kimmyl! Not for every book every single time, of course. But I usually at least visit the setting of my books. Sometimes I will use a setting that I am already familiar with -- We've lived and visited in a lot of places over the years. LOL
